Integrations and APIs

An integration nobody dares to touch cannot be maintained. We build integrations in which systems exchange data automatically, predictably and under monitoring.

Every system works, just separately

The online shop, the accounting system, the warehouse, the payment gateway and external platforms work separately. Data is moved by a person, or by a script nobody remembers until it stops working.

  • The stock level says one thing, the offer says another
  • Payments and invoices reconciled by hand
  • Integrations without logs, alerts or documentation
  • One person knows how it works, and had better not fall ill

We treat an integration as a production system

Every integration is part of a production system, so it gets a data contract, error handling, retries, logs and alerts.

If you need your own API (for partners, a mobile application or other teams), we will design and document it.

What you get

  • Documented APIs and data exchange contracts
  • Error handling, retries and queueing instead of silent failures
  • Integration monitoring and alerts about irregularities

What we connect

Online payments
Payment gateways, recurring payments, refunds and transaction reconciliation.
Accounting systems and invoicing
The system issues documents itself and passes the data to accounting.
Warehouse and logistics
Synchronisation of stock levels, orders and shipment statuses.
External platforms
Marketplaces, booking systems, marketing and communication tools.
API design
REST APIs with documentation, versioning and access control.
Putting existing integrations in order
Audit, documentation and bringing scripts into a form that can be maintained.

Example stack

The integration method depends on what the connected systems can do. We most often use:

Data exchange
  • REST
  • Webhooks
  • Message queues
Documentation
  • OpenAPI
Payments
  • CashBill
  • other payment providers
Reliability
  • Retries
  • Idempotency
  • Logs and alerts

Common questions, short answers

Which systems do you integrate with?

Any system that has an API or another documented way of exchanging data. If a system has no API, we check the alternatives: file export, database access or intermediary tools.

What happens when an external system does not respond?

Operations go into a queue and the system retries them. Monitoring reports recurring errors, so data is not lost without a trace.

Will we receive documentation?

Yes. Integration and API documentation is part of the project handover.

Can you maintain the integrations after deployment?

Yes, under a maintenance agreement with an SLA. External APIs change, and ongoing care limits the risk of downtime.
