A whole premium car rental company in one system
A website with online booking and payment, a customer account, an admin panel, handover reports on a tablet and fleet telematics. All of it runs on a server that we maintain.
Challenge
A sports car rental company sells a time slot. The customer chooses a specific car for specific days, pays online and wants to collect it without paperwork.
For the company, every rental means a deposit, a handover and return report, sometimes damage, and a settlement at the end. These tasks were to move into one system, so that they would not get lost in spreadsheets and messaging apps.
Solution
We built a public website with a booking wizard, and a back office for the owner and the staff. The server calculates the price, and the system checks car availability on an ongoing basis.
We are now moving the back office to Laravel 12. We go module by module and compare the results of the old and the new code, so that the rental company works without interruptions.
